Changes are synchronized instantly across all collaborators in a project. Additionally, the platform ensures automatic version control through its TimeTravel functionality, allowing users to review or restore any previous file state.

eLabFTW

The free, open-source electronic lab notebook eLabFTW is designed to help researchers securely document, organize, and share experimental data. Built by scientists for scientists, it combines a simple user interface with powerful features such as encryption, audit trails, version control, and full-text search. The tag-based structure, as well as the possibility of linking between entries, makes it a flexible and powerful solution for all research fields.

Files

Files enables cloud-based file management, editing, and sharing. Based on Nextcloud, files can be synchronized, as well as collaboratively edited with the integrated OnlyOffice software. The Calendar, Contacts, and Deck plugins are included.

Stored files can be accessed from any location and on any device. The organization of personal or shared files is facilitated by sharing with graduated access rights via link or email. Assigning a password is optional. Files can therefore be organized and shared flexibly in different groups. External storages (e.g. Dropbox, Google Drive, SharePoint, WebDAV or FTP) can be integrated. OnlyOffice can be used to create and edit texts, tables and presentations collaboratively in the web interface. Common editing and design tools are available. Annotations, traceable changes and a version history support collaborative processes.

Secure Email and Groupware Service with Open-Xchange

Mail is an email and groupware service based on the Open-Xchange platform. Open-Xchange is a proven, scalable solution for email communication and digital collaboration, used in businesses, educational institutions, and research environments.

As a German software provider, Open-Xchange relies on data protection-compliant technologies and promotes digital sovereignty through locally hosted solutions and compliance with European regulations. The service offers a central platform for email management, calendars, contacts, tasks, and other functions accessible via web browsers or mobile apps.

ownCloud

ownCloud allows you to organize files, that are stored in a cloud provided by the GWDG. The access is independent from location or device and available via web or client. The synchronized files can be shared with graduated access rights and – among others – collaboratively edited in the OnlyOffice integration.

Pad

Pad is a markdown editor for collaborative writing and editing of documents in real time. Several users can work on a document in the browser at the same time, track changes and add comments.

ShareLaTeX

SHRIMP

Digitally shaping collaborative reading and learning

SHRIMP is a digital reading tool that supports students in academic reading and opens up new ways for lecturers to make text editing interactive and collaborative.
